General Bulletins for all students:

I. If you have never set up a Turnitin student account (which you must do before you can submit papers), click here.

II. If you have never taken a logic or critical thinking course, click here for a free brief manual on critical thinking (arguing and writing).

III. For students who need help with their writing, there are two useful places where you can get tutoring help with your writing assignments:

       (1) The Writing Center offers tutorials, both individual and group, and workshops on writing and grammar. Location: MH-45; Phone: 714-278-3650;

       (2) The Learning Center has a philosophy tutor available for help in formulating arguments and discussion of general philosophical matters.                                               Click here for information on the philosophy tutor.

IV. For help on research on philosophical topics: 

       (1) Do a search on Google Scholar: print the name IN QUOTES (to cut down on extraneous matches);

       (2) Go to the links tab on this website and try some of the internet encyclopedias listed there.
